Chutni is located in one of the most culturally dynamic areas of York. We overlook the sprawling York University lawns and Heslington Church tower. With a warm welcome and an informal setting we offer the regional cuisine from the North-West Frontier and Tribal Areas. This is the area of North Pakistan bordering Afghanistan.

At Chutni we believe the rich history of the region is highlighted by our hospitality and the depth of flavours of our cooking. Tribal areas traditions and culture run through everything we do, which for many, make Chutni a home-away from home. At Chutni a friend is someone who calls and says I cooked your favourite food, please come over and eat it with me. For our most audacious guests we offer shisha on our outdoor terrace.
